June 2, 2010 at 2:25 PM When I was editing Episode 5 “Igor Alone”, I realized something.
That the Monster Movie Show, as it stands now, wouldn’t work on TV.
It’s not the format, nor the content. That I think is fine, and could work on Public Access Television.
It’s the show itself.
It’s Lint & The Ninja, Dr. Kahuna, Justy Ueki & Duckie, Justy “Fire Kitten” Madfess, Justy “Steampunk” Ueki, and now Justy Ghost & Igor.
It’s the massive amount of changes I’ve done since I started the show and the fact that I’m so many seasons in that wouldn’t work on television.
So, The Monster Movie Show will be no more.
It’s cancelled.
Sort of cancelled that is.
Kind of, sort of cancelled.
Actually, so I can start over without all the confusion that is the history of the show and I can start on TV with season one and not season six, I’m changing the show again.
Still going to be “The Ghost In The Machine”, Justy Ghost, and his faithful manservant, Igor, hosting the program, but it’s starting over with a movie I’ve already shown (another reason for the Retcon/Reboot) and a different title, “Shocking Theater”.
The feed will remain the same and MonsterMovieShow.com will still go to this page, but from here on out, we are now Shocking Theater and I hope to see you out there, in television land.
May 19, 2010 at 7:04 PM Just a brief post tonight as I’m sitting outside a bus station in Traverse City Michigan, where the UpNorth Media Center is located.
First the Producer Orientation was cancelled, so I’ll have to try again sometime during the summer.
Second is that I’m going to have to delay this weeks showing of the Devil Bat due to traveling, but we will tape get it up shortly.
Third is that due to our desire to get on TV, the show will be changing just a bit more.
I’ll give you more details soon.
April 30, 2010 at 12:02 PM It’s almost May.
Spring is in full swing, the flowers are blooming, the leaves are returning, and the snow has melted.
Also, it’s the beginning of resorter season here on beautiful Little Traverse Bay.
That means it’s the time of the year when we get busy at the day jobs.
So, because we won’t have the time, nor the energy, to put out live shows every week and then edit them, the live presentation of Space Transformer on Saturday May 1st 2010 will be the last scheduled live show until the fall.
We will continue to put out new shows every week (hopefully sticking to the Tuesday schedule) and, hopefully, as soon as our producers can take an orientation class, we will also be joining the ranks of the Televised Horror Hosts by putting the show up on UpNorth2, the regional public access cable channel.
And, in order to do that, we have to move the production of the show back into the real world, and yet our host, Justy Ghost, is still firmly trapped within the virtual world.
How are we going to bring him back?
We aren’t. Too much effort.
Instead Lint has been busy interviewing potential applicants for the position of Horror Host Assistant all week long. The assistant will help host the movie in the real world, while Justy communicates with the world like Max Headroom (i.e. a stuttering head on a computer monitor).
It’s going to be an interesting summer.
Hope to see you soon on the old Boob Tube, and Take Scare.

January 23, 2010 at 9:36 AM Just posting a little note, the feature presentation for Saturday January 23rd, “Creature of Destruction”, has been delayed until noon on Sunday January 24th due to me.
Been working on creating a version of the show for television set top boxes and that has been causing many issues with my host (uploading large files, converting 720p versions for flash and portable), but I have figured out how to get everything working and have been busy converting and uploading what needs to be uploaded.
New Years Marathon episodes are coming, and the first regular episode of 2010 is coming up and will hopefully all be up by the time we do the next episode.
We’ll see you then.
